How to reach Bern?
Even though Bern has its own airport, it is not well connected by air. The best option to reach Bern is to fly to Zürich and take a train to Bern.
The train ride from Zürich – Bern takes about an hour. The cheapest return tickets start at around 30eur.

VISIT BERN - Attractions to see in Bern
Bear Pit – Perhaps the most famous of all attractions is the Bear Pit, as bears are a symbol of the city. A hilly green park by the river in the heart of the city, home to many brown bears.
The Botanical Garden of the University of Bern – Lush green garden located down by the river with a free entrance. Definitely worth a visit if you are a fan of green and nature. The gardens are open daily between 8 am to 9 pm.
Bern Old Town – The old city center of Bern is protected under UNESCO World Heritage.

Zytglogge – A famous clocktower, reconstructed back in 1405 with moving figures and an astronomical clock. For the best photos of the Zytglogge walk down the other side of the street. Mind only that the street with Zytglogge is not closed to traffic.

Rosengarten (Bern Rose Garden) – A beautiful rose garden on top of a hill with several viewpoints on the city of Bern. Personally one of my favourite points of the city. The garden also features a restaurant with prime views of Bern’d Old Town and the Münster.
Rosengarten
Cathedral of Bern (Bern Münster) – A spectacular gothic cathedral, at the same time known as the highest cathedral in Switzerland.
Cathedral of Bern – Bern Münster
Bern Historical Museum/Einstein Museum – Switzerland’s second-largest museum, dedicated to the history and development of Bern. The Einstein Museum, however, is completely dedicated to the life and work of Albert Einstein, who developed the relativity theory while living in Bern. *tickets
Einstein House – A museum and former residence of Albert Einstein. Separate entrance to the Einstein Museum.
