Ibis Milano Centro is one of the many Ibis chain hotels in Milan. The location is outstanding, only 350m from Reppublica metro station and 15 min walk to Milano Centrale. Ibis Milano Centro offers soundproof rooms with free wifi, 24h front desk service, and continental breakfast – included in the room cost.
I have never had a bad experience when staying with Ibis, and I’ve stayed with them a lot, for example in Edinburgh, Zürich, Brussels,Vienna, and Lugano. They’re my number one if you want to stay in a hotel on a budget and don’t mind a modern design that could fit into any city. The Hotel Milano Navigli is one of the best-located cheap hotels in Milan. Right on Piazza XXIV Maggio, the location will give you a true experience of living in the center of Milan. Duomo is reachable within 15 min on foot, and Navigli is only a short walk away. Hotel Milano Navigli offers modern equipped rooms with Wifi, a private terrace, 24h front desk, and a delicious breakfast buffet.
Several of my friends have stayed at Hotel Milano Navigli and were super satisfied with the service. The only downside of this cheap hotel option in Milan is that it is often booked way in advance.

If you don’t mind staying a bit further out of the center (10-15min by metro to Duomo), Hotel Zara Milano is another super option on a budget. The accommodation is modern with rooftop views of the city of Milan, a beautiful terrace, and helpful front desk service. The Zara metro station is only 2min walk away. The booking however does not include breakfast. You can add it to your stay for only 7€.

Now, this is another great and extremely modern hotel. Overlooking Milan Central station, IQ hotel Milano offers everything you might need, including its own gym, breakfast buffet, and spa, already included in the price. Perfect for business or leisure travel. Plus points for breakfast choices, which also include an American breakfast and a full English breakfast! The hotel also offers a shuttle service to and from the nearby airports.

Biocity is one of the best-rated and highly recommended cheaper hotels in Milan. The hotel is located in an elegant villa from the 1920s, just north of Milano Centrale. Biocity Hotel is famous for its exclusive use of biomaterials and eco-friendly technologies. The rooms are modernly equipped. What is amazing is the breakfast offer. Biocity offers continental and typical Italian breakfast, but also vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free breakfast choices!

The Lancaster Hotel comes at a slightly higher price, but you can sometimes catch dates when the price lowers! Giving off British vibes, this lovely hotel is located in a super safe and one of my personal favourite areas between Parco Sepmione and City Life. Just 15min walk and you will be in Duomo. Lancaster Hotel offers fabulous rooms with 24h service, help with purchasing metro tickets, a terrace for late-night drinks, and much more. The hotel is recommended for everyone traveling in pairs.

Hotel Panizza’s uniqueness is that the hotel is part of a residential building with charming balconies. It’s located in proximity to Milan’s Church of Santa Maria Delle Grazie, where you can admire the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. With decorated ceilings and original wooden floors, the hotel offers several rooms with air conditioning, flat-screen TV, and great breakfast options.
